The Woolwich Historical Society is a membership-based organization that is actively working to preserve Woolwich History. We conduct oral history projects, Maine Memory Network projects in conjunction with the Maine Historical Society, genealogical research, recordkeeping, and archiving. We preserve the 1810 farmhouse that comprises the Woolwich History Museum. The Society also provides educational programming for adults and children throughout the year. For more information about educational programming events, click the link to the calendar.
The Museum contains several restored rooms of items dating from the late 18th through the early 20th centuries. All originated from Woolwich, or have a local link.
Our Museum is open during the summer months several times per week. We have several events, including our holiday event, at other times during the year, and we will be happy to open for school and other tours at any time throughout the year. |
